Things have been rocky since about 24 weeks when I learned my cervix was shortening. My OB put me on progesterone suppositories, and light activity. Despite that, my Braxton Hicks were still outta control and my cervix continued to shorten. At 29 weeks my cervix was measuring 1 cm long and I was put on bed rest. Now at 32 weeks, it is stable at 1 cm long, and things seem to be ok. Tomorrow I have my second fetal fibronectin test, hoping for another negative result and then I will feel much better.

I saw my OB yesterday, and because I also have placenta previa, she scheduled my c section for 38 weeks, on October 25th!! I’m hoping to make it that far, she’s not quite sure that I will, but at least I know that we have no more than 45 days until we meet our baby girl!!
