Washing baby clothes- I want to get stuff done early but don’t want the clothes to get gross or dusty. When do you think I can wash it?

As long as it will be stored somewhere clean where pets can’t get to it then any time should be fine! I washed everything I had after both my baby showers had happened (so I could return anything I didn’t want to keep or that I got duplicates of).

I waited and I wish I would have done it earlier. I went for an appointment at 37 weeks planning on going home and washing baby clothes that day but they didn’t let me leave the hospital. I didn’t even have a chance to pack a bag or anything... I would say do it earlier but just wash the smaller sizes. Don’t get crazy.

I washed newborn sizes and 0-3 about a month before my due date. Everything else I waited to wash until the other were starting to get too small.

We washed everything when we got it(97% of it is second hand etc) then sorted it by size and style. Yes I will have to rewash it when baby is older and it's time for the next sizes, but then I know it's thoroughly washed and it smells like our clothes.

If you wash them before one month, you’ll need to rewash anyway. Plus, if baby were to come, they’re be too big lol

I’d say 2 months before... after the baby shower and before you get so big it sucks

I think I wash closer to the 38 week mark lol. So for me that is about a week before they are born. With my first I did it about 2 months early and ended up rewashing right after he was born because I felt that they needed to be freshened up.
