Looking for advice on what helped you get through birth? Also how was pushing? I’m being induced Thursday and I’m starting to panic.

FTM here! I just had my princess on the seventh and I was petrified of the epidural and pushing+tearing! Seriously so so so scared ! And honestly I had no reason to be! The epidural was seriously nothing and didn’t hurt whatsoever! Worst part about it was getting the tape taken off your back when they are done lolll 😂  as for the pushing, I didn’t really feel it! Lots of pressure when i crowned and she came out, but the ring of fire and everything else I didn’t feel and it was literally so fine! Also I only pushed for 14 minutes, and I had no tearing! I’m also very small so that’s pretty surprising, especially cause I pushed her out so quick! It’s such a magical, special, and irreplaceable moment and you will love it. She’s only 3 days and I already miss pushing her out and just my labour experience in general. It was perfect.

Are you looking for coping methods for a bone medicated birth or just in general? I had gas for the early contractions but it didn’t help much with the painful contractions and made me feel high briefly. I had an epidural which was amazing, I dialated super quickly after having it and first time the doctor checked me it was time to push! Pushed for 30 minutes, at first I couldn’t feel the contractions so they turned it down but then I could feel the contractions but no pain. I feel a little stinging when he was coming out but I had such a wonderful experience. He was 10 lbs and 22 inches, no stitches!

If you can have dental work done you can get an epidural. It's a pinch from the numbing medication then the tube goes in and you are all set. They do it during a contraction so you will be distracted. I've had 3 and 0 problems. Watch a movie or something too. That will help with being anxious. I was sitting in the dark trying to nap and it was not happening with my last. Pushing isn't too bad, it will help if you can feel your legs some but they will give you instructions for that too. I've never torn either, I think the epidural helped with that too. Just try to breathe and stay focused and baby will be here in no time! 😁💗
