Saying I love you too soon?

I started talking to this guy in August, and its only been a month. We aren’t even official yet but I’ve caught feelings and grown really attached. I don’t know what to do.

A little backstory. We both have children, they’re actually 5 days apart and we live kind of far from each other, about an hour away. We were able to hang out once in the month we have been talking but we do talk consistently on the phone and we facetime each other all the time. His baby momma and my baby daddy both hurt us really badly so theres a lot of trust issues there among everything.

How do I control the urge to say the “L” word. I really don’t want to scare him off.
