Plan B is emergency birth control.
You take it immediately after unprotected sex.
It stops ovulation and keeps you from getting pregnant.
If it’s been more than 3 days since you’ve had sex, it’s too late for Plan B.

1. Finding out for sure whether or not you are pregnant (doctor's visit for a blood test).
2. If you are pregnant, the Plan B pill will not work (it is an emergency contraceptive, NOT an abortion pill).  Your doctor can go over your options in regards to abortion/adoption/keeping the baby and can help you get the care you need for whatever choice you make.
3.  If you're not pregnant, make responsible choice regarding contraception and birth control until you are ready to get pregnant.  The Plan B pill should not be your go-to for preventing pregnancy as it is an EMERGENCY contraceptive and can cause all sorts of side effects and it is not as effective as other methods of pregnancy prevention.  Plus it doesn't protect you from STDs.
