Blood tests are the most accurate they detect how much hcg there is while pee tests only pick up a certain amount and when you’re really early they won’t pick that up but blood test does

I had negative HPTs with my first. Like not even a vvvvvvvvfl. I was having symptoms and was over a week late so my doc ordered the blood test and it came back with an HCG of 32 which is lower than even the most sensitive HPTs can detect. He had me redo the blood test a week later to make sure it was rising and, sure enough, it was over 1,000 at that point. 9 months later, I had my little boy.
I stopped taking the HPTs once I got a positive blood test, but I’m sure I would have eventually gotten a positive HPT. There was just no need to keep testing at home after that.
