I am a FTM of a 6 month old. I’ve been exclusively pumping since week 1. Lately I’ve been debating switching to formula.

Has anyone been in this situation? Any compelling arguments either way?

From what I’ve read, most of the antibodies are given in the first 6 months. Since baby isn’t actually feeding from breast, are “real-time” antibodies really a thing? That probably my biggest thing that is keeping me pumping—cold and flu season coming up.

I’d love to hear your deciding factor that made you stop or continue to pump.
