Worried?

Question

My lo is not yet sitting up alone and also hardly rolls over. He just isn't that interested. Should I be worried? And I doing something wrong? I try and get him to roll all the time but he isn't very interested.

My girl is almost 23 weeks and randomly decided a few days ago that she wants to and can sit 🤷🏼‍♀️ literally the day before she wasnt capable. Just keep practicing 😊

My little girl (5 months tomorrow) is fully capable of rolling both ways and already has, but then she just stopped and hasn’t done it since! I’ve read that once they kind of try something out for a while / succeed, they may move on to trying to master other things, and are therefore not really capable of doing more than one “new” thing at a time because these skills are a lot of work! We keep trying everyday with getting her to sit upright (she can only do it for a few seconds at a time). She “talks” all day long and tried to hold her own bottle for feedings, but is back to HATING tummy time and being forced to try to practice rolling. I’m not worried about it too much! All babies develop at their own pace and your doctors will tell you if there’s anything to be concerned about. Just keep practicing everything! Literally one day they will just do it!

Every baby is different and will get to these stages when THEY are ready not you. Don’t rush the babes. It isn’t a race. But no you have nothing to worry about

6-7 months is more common for sitting unaided. My first never rolled and then sat at 6 months although this baby seems weaker so think she will be later but she also has no interest in rolling just a sack of potatoes on her back

My girl is 22wks. She only started rolling from back to tummy like a week ago, but she only does it when she wants to. 
She hasn’t rolled tummy to back yet 🤷🏻‍♀️ 
She can sit unassisted but only for like a couple is seconds. I’m not worrying. She is fine. 
She literally feeds herself, babbles all the time, grabs everything without missing, can open close cupboard doors...and so much more. Stuff other babies her age don’t do. 
Every baby is different and develops differently.

I have read that males generally learn some skills slower than their female counterparts. Also  age should be considered (the weeks). And to the littlest thing is environment; are you providing space for LO to explore. Once all these are considered and you know you have a healthy baby, and you know all babies develop differently, then I don’t think you should worry. In any case if you want to have fun with baby as your LO grows, Ild day look up activities for LO in different stages and just encourage, by cheering him on while also having fun. Still you can ask LO’s pediatrician so you can put your mind further at ease. Just my thoughts.

My daughter has rolled once so I know she can do it. She’s more interested in sitting up which she can do for a few seconds by herself and she loves being held up to stand! I’m not worried about the rolling since she is interested in other ways to move.

Same here. My little guy is 23 weeks now. He can go maybe 30 seconds now sitting without help, and still hasn’t rolled over. I see him go on his sides sometimes reaching for toys

My little guy (19 weeks) doesn't either. He gets close to rolling over but hasn't gone all the way over yet. He isn't even close to sitting up on his own.
