Hello, I just wanted to make a post on here for anyone that has been suffering without answers like me. It started back in 2016 when I thought I had a normal uti. I went to my primary doctor and got antibiotics to take care of it. Come to find out the antibiotics didn’t work. I was prescribed antibiotics three times with no relief to my symptoms. I couldn’t afford to keep trying so I just lived with the symptoms until this year when I decided to bring it up again at my gynecologist appointment. Once again I was prescribed antibiotics twice with no relief. She suggested I go to a urologist. So I went, and the urologist informed me that she thinks it is something called interstitial cystitis not a uti like I had thought all along. So I’ve been reading up on it, and it definitely sounds like what I have. I just wanted to put this post out there cause I’ve seen women with similar symptoms post asking questions on here in the past, and thought it might be useful for someone. If you have questions I’ll try to answer them.
