Anyone NOT finding out the genders?

I am a ftm, 10w4d pregnant with di di twins. My husband and I are both strongly leaning towards waiting until birth to find out the genders. We are both 40 and have been trying for 12 years and finally had success on our 3rd ivf attempt. I think we are just ready for something to seem "natural" if that makes any sense. I do understand wanting to prepare but the excitement of waiting is stronger (at this point) than the need to shop for cute stuff. Is anyone else waiting?

I'm 31 weeks with twins. We are team green all the way!  We absolutely don't have a clue!  It's hard to find a lot of gender neutral stuff but that's ok. Gap and Old Navy have some beautiful neutral clothes. We have a lot of gray, white, yellow, green. Car seats are neutral. It drives other people nuts more than us. We're excited for the surprise on delivery day. The hardest part has been deciding on names. We have to have three sets of names!  Boy/girl, boy/boy, and girl/girl.

Stay strong!  Don't give in to anyone pressuring you to find out! :)

I didn't find out with my first 2.  It was an amazing surprise!  You really don't need a lot before the baby(s) are born.  If you think you want to wait, you should!  I found out with my 3rd--only because my first 2 were boys and I was gonna need a minute if I was having another boy, lol.  And now  were having twins and we found out only because we needed to know of we had to do some bedroom shifting, depending on what were having.  But there really is nothing like going through labor and then the dr saying "it's a boy" or girl...  So fun!  Good luck and congrats!

I'm having number six and never found out with ANY. On purpose. There is NOTHING better or more memorable than that moment of discovery. And here's why: I don't care how much you may secretly have a preference, when you see that tiny baby you're awestruck and overcome every single time, and so strung out with emotion that I don't care if you've been told you just had a hermaphrodite pony, you completely believe that's exactly what you wanted! There are so few great surprises left anymore, I wouldn't let anybody take those moments away from me. And all that bologna about not knowing what to buy... Here's the truth: your baby will live in diapers and white onesies (so you can bleach the yellow poo stains-that won't come out by the way) for three weeks. Then you'll move up a size and your immediate family will have had time to get you colored outfits, which you'll only use if someone's coming over. But your baby will likely have pooed in it before they get there anyway... Baby clothes are cheap. If you're having an away-from-home birth just buy one going home outfit for all possibilities. You'll have plenty of opportunities for convenience later. You'll never get this one shot magic memory again though with this baby!

Congrats!! I would love to be able to hold out but I don't think I can. My sister in law didn't find out the sex and didn't tell anyone names and it was so fun when we were all at the hospital to find out.

Were 28 weeks with non identical twins from our fourth round of Ivf.
I knew from 9 days post transfer it was twins as my hcg was so high.
We had lots of problems at the start which put me in hospital for some weeks.
I never wanted to know what sex they were as it's my last surprise. I don't have long now and each scan we get I have to say 'we don't know the sex!' But the sonographers are brilliant and skip past the genitals.
I can't wait for that exciting moment of finding out it's going to be amazing for both us, our family and our friends 😊

We are a 40+ couple and have been trying for 10 years. One failed IVF. 12 w5d with di/di twins (good things happen for those who wait).

At our age as 1st time parents and being on this very long and twisting journey, we both agree we want to know more for us than anybody else if that makes sense. It will make it more real because it is starting to finally sink in since this week we saw them via us. Both were waving and kicking like crazy. They passed the first trimester genetic testing with flying colors.

We have our gender ultrasound in 4 weeks. So far we have purchased gender neutral as much as possible through baby consignment events which have been huge money savings, good for the environment, helping parents make some extra $$ as they clean out their closets, and there is a lot of stuff brand new with tags still on! Never heard of such a thing and thought we would shopping heavily at Target and Old Navy. This has been a "Aha" blessing.

We waited to find out for both our babies and am so glad we did, it was a true surprise. I think our family was a little bit annoyed by it because they wanted to buy stuff. As for shopping, there's a lot of gadgets on the market but you really don't need a lot. All of our baby clothes 0-3 mos are gender neutral which is great for each subsequent baby. It was such a great moment finding out on birth day, I think you'll be glad you waited.

We aren't finding out for our twins either. We didn't for our son (who's now 2) and the surprise in the delivery room was so great!!
