And what affects have you guys had if you are on it? 
I just had my very first shot a couple days ago. And I just decided to look up some reviews people put out, and lemme just say there was only one good review. So im pretty scared rn.

While I was on it it was great. Once I got off I gained 50+ lbs

I loved it  because ihad no periods while I was on it. I think it helped me gain weight though but that would be my only side effect

I had one shot and it's the worse thing ever. I was crazy and my anxiety was through the roof. My mental health was so bad I actually thought I was going to have to go to the hospital to try and get some help quite a few times. My mom and my boyfriend ended up getting really worried about me because I was so moody, depressed, and anxious. I was so suspicious over absolutely nothing and it was a really, really hard time for me mentally. I also lightly bled for a full month and it sucked. I'm switching birth controls instead of getting my second one, and I wish I had never gotten the first one. Good luck, I hope it treats you better than it did me!!

I took the depo shot for 6 years. Never had any side effects and I honestly loved it. No periods and it helped me to have less migraines. But now that I’m ttc it’s not been easy. It took 8 months for my cycles to become regular. Another 5 months to get pregnant. And then I miscarried at 6 weeks 😫

I had it a couple years ago and it was the worst thing I’ve ever went through I only got 2 shots to realize how bad my body reacted to it! I had anxiety attacks pretty much everyday, I lost 10 pounds and I’m already a small person, I had no sex drive like at all I didn’t even want to be touched oh and I spotted pretty much everyday. But not everybody’s body reacts to it differently my friend was on it for a year and was perfectly fine with no periods.
