Moving from bassinet to crib?

When did y’all switch the baby from bassinet to the crib? My son will be 2 months on Monday and I feel like he’s already running out of arm room in the bassinet so I thought about switching him to his crib which is also in my bedroom pretty close to my bed. Is there a reason why I shouldn’t switch him?

We switched around that time. He was starting to wiggle around enough to push off the walls and shove his face into the side.

We switch around 4-5 months. But our crib is in a different room. I’d say switch now especially if it’s still close. I think I might wait till after the holidays with this one bc we travel a lot around that time.

We switched @ 8 weeks too. He was getting too long and he was over the weight limit. ( This was a packnplay bassinet).

I’m waiting on the crib switch because my babe still has a startle reflex. The bassinet I find is better because she’s cosy still.

Switch away! My son has been in his crib in his own room since about day 6. I'm a super light sleeper and I couldn't sleep with all his grunts and coos. Our rooms are right across the hall from each other and I can see his crib from my bed with both doors open- so he's really not that far away.  What is your hesitation on switching,  especially if kiddo would still be in your room?
