Which birth control do you recommend & why?

So I have an appointment Friday to get new birth control. The doctor tries pushing IUDs but i get nervous. What do you recommend? Which one did you hate? I want to hear all the stories good and bad. Thanks!

I had the least side effects with the IUD however the insertion can be pretty painful . If you do get it just take painkillers before hand.

I have a kyleena IUD and I love it! It’s so low maintenance and it’s smaller so it’s designed for young women. It’s also the most effective method of BC other than abstinence! For those sharing horror stories, it’s really uncommon for it to “get lost” inside you or whatever

I've been on the patch for six years with no negative side effects

The pill always made me sick and throw up no matter what the dosage. The shot made me gain 50 pounds and my mom couldn't get pregnant for 10 years after being on it for a one year. My best friend got the implant and it moved and got lost in arm fat so really the IUD is what I would recommend I havnt heard anything bad abt or any bad side affects.
