If I get pregnant, can I have an earlier scan?

Question

Hey so I had a mc in May and we're trying again to get pregnant. But if I get a positive test and call my Dr, do you think they'll have me come in for a scan/test before the typical 8 weeks? Or if I ask to come in will they let me? 
I'm afraid stress and anxiety might make me mc again.

I was told by NHS in UK to come in at 6 weeks if I conceive again and they can scan me. Last time I had an empty gestational sac at 8 weeks so I would’ve known if that was the case at 6 weeks if I’d gone in but not sure it would help with whether there is a heartbeat so it doesn’t give much certainty but they can tell you what they can see. Sometimes you can see a heartbeat at 6 weeks I think.

My doctor said they could bring me in at 6 weeks if I got to anxious about another loss (which I’m sure I will...). I came in at 7 weeks last time and they could see baby and heartbeat easily

After having my 2nd miscarriage 6 weeks ago I asked my OB that very question. They said they’d still wait until 8 weeks to see me. I know I’ll be anxious during the wait, but having an early scan that wouldn’t show much might be more anxiety provoking. I may go to my primary care doctor for a blood test to verify pregnancy and have my levels checked for my own peace of mind.

Hi, I had miscarriage on May, and got pregnant after first cycle. After I knew that I'm pregnant, I decided not to contact my doctor until I reach 10 weeks .It is because I miscarried before 11 weeks and I wan't to pass that stage and also I have a phobia of getting vaginal ultrasound 😉I'm just hoping and praying everyday that I will have a healthy pregnancy. Got my first scan around 11weeks , and everything went well. I felt so much relieved and happy , I saw my rainbow baby 😊 Praying for your rainbow baby ☺️

They might but there is not much to see before that and then people end up worried because they didn’t see much. It might be better to wait until you can actually see something.

If I’m honest scans before 8 weeks are not the best, so I wouldn’t push it so much happens you may go at 5 weeks see nothing 6 weeks sometimes  only see a sac 7 weeks sac with baby but no heart beat sometimes etc. It can cause a lot of unnecessary worry if I’m honest I’d wait till 8 weeks so you can see everything at once!
