What’s the earliest a doctor will do a membrane sweep?

I’m really wanting to get this done. I’ve been having slightly painful contractions but they’re very irregular. I’m pretty sure my mucus plug is still there.

My ob is doing it at 38weeks..some also do it at 37weeks..

I had my first of three at 37 weeks, 2 during my 38th week. Only cause I was getting induced at 39 weeks anyway though and we were trying to see if it’d happen more naturally

My doctor said she does them around 38 weeks.

Depends on the doctor.  Many won't do it until full term (39 weeks), but some may start as early as 37 weeks.  Others won't do it at all.  Keep in mind you do need to be at least a little bit dilated for it to be possible to do a sweep.

My OB did it the day before my due date. I had baby boy on his due date.

Where im from 40w. If your planning a homebirth/natural they do them every 2 days after 40w to try avoid going over due. I had one but turned out i was already dilating.
