Will god hate me if I put my baby up for adoption?

I had my baby two weeks ago, I found out he has heart defects really anything under the moon. His nicu stay has costed us thousands and I don’t think I could repay it while taking care of him. He will come home on oxygen. I just don’t have the funds to take care of him. Will god hate me?

God won't hate you but you may end up hating yourself one day if you give your baby up because you think you can't afford it. Most states have insurance for child care that makes medical care close to free if not free for children. You should try to figure something like that out before going straight to giving your baby up, plus a baby with medical needs will probably sit in foster care for a long time unless you can personally find a family to adopt the child right away. I know it's hard but you need to think very long and hard about this. If you're a Christian I suggest praying a lot about it. Unless you're homeless I just don't think it's a kind loving decision to give your baby up because it's costing a lot of money. If you'd keep a baby that had no health issues then you should keep a baby with health issues too. God sent this child to you for a reason.

No God wont help you. It's the most unselfish thing ever. You're trying to give your baby the best possible chance there is. Just pray about it and if it's what God want you to then he'll give you the peace of mind you need.

Of course God won't hate you! But that being said, I would urge you to talk to a social worker and look into insurance options for your son. Depending on your income, it might be entirely free. Dont give up your baby just because of finances straight away if that really is the only reason. Imagine finding out down the road there were other options  financially and things could have been different. Praying for you, for wisdom, discernment and for guidance from God. I pray He leads you directly to whomever you need to talk to for your baby's best care and interest.

Don’t do something based on the fear that He would hate you. Pray. Seek guidance, there is wisdom in counsel. 
Finances may not be the only deciding factor for whether of not you can take care of your baby. Weigh out the reasoning & options. Talk to the hospital social worker for some help.

This verse is a call to Christians to take on the mission of making sure that every child is taken care of and a part of a family. This may look like adoption, foster care, or supporting those kinds of ministries directly.”
God loved adoption for he felt every child deserved loved and care no matter the biology. Pray on this, ask God what you should do. Put this in His hands and He will show you but you have to let Him.
