Is 6 months in a relationship too soon to know you found the love of your life ?

To soon to KNOW. Yeah. Probably.  It's been pretty well documented that it takes at least a couple years to truly get to know your partner.. I am a firm believer that you cannot know someone is right for you until you have seen them at their absolute worst and can still accept them as they are, and they have seen you at your absolute worst and can still accept you as you are. At 6 months in you probably have not seen each other at your absolute worst yet.
This isn't to say that some people can't THINK they met they love of their life and then be correct.. but that's more about luck than knowing. I mean, how many divroced couples "just knew" their partner was the one... until they weren't anymore.
At 6 months what you're feeling is more likely limerence than love. Limerence is an important precursor to love, but on its own it is not real love.

I fell in love 2months in, dating/engaged 2 years and now married for 10+ years with two daughters who we adore. You love who you love.

No. I knew my husband was the love of my life after just a couple months.

I think you can THINK you've found the love of your life at 6months, but that doesn't mean you have. I thought I knew after a couple of months that I'd spend my life with my ex. We were together 10 years, married just under 3. We separated in July after he assaulted my 11yo and myself and I realised he'd been manipulating and gaslighting me for years. To truly know someone and if you are 100% made for each other takes years, not months, and even then you can get it wrong.

I think it's not... I felt within the first 6 months of my relationship that we were gonna be partners forever and 19 (almost 20) years later we're stronger than we've ever been. Everyone and every relationship is different, though.

It depends on the people, but I don’t think so. My husband and I knew after about a month. We moved in together after 2 months. We’ve been together for 10 years, married for 4.

Not if those 6 months were spent being honest and doing what you both love! I know I was in love with my husband after 3. Not many ppl enjoy camping and hiking as much as I do. When you take me camping in a blizzard by ourselves at 10,000ft, I know you’re the one I want to spend my life with 😍😍😍😍 among several other compatibility measures. We all know some ppl are kind of fake out the gate. Not wanting to scare the other one away. So folks aren’t always quite as honest in the beginning with what they want. Anyways, if you’ve been honest for these 6 months, it’s absolutely possible!
