Am I over reacting?

Question

So.. My boyfriend is having one of his friends coming over and staying with him for a while.  She has come a long way to specifically see him. Recently she told him that she had feelings for him & I don't live locally so won't be seeing him in this period of time. I trust him but it worries me that she has nothing to lose by trying something with him. Am I over reacting?

I'm sorry, but if he is choosing a girl he has never met before who has said she has feelings for him to stay at his house over the fact that his own girlfriend is uncomfortable with the situation, then I think you should reevaluate your relationship. You should come before someone he has never even met before. He may be trustworthy but it doesn't mean that she is.

You're not overreacting. I'd be pissed too and if I brought it up multiple times only to get shot down I'd be done with him. I know that may not be what you want to do, but that's what I would do. It just sounds like a recipe for disaster. But I hope it works out ok though!

Woah I would not be happy with some girl coming to stay with my boyfriend when she's said she has feelings for him!!! It's your judgement on whether you trust him or not and trust is very important in a relationship, but so is respect and I'd personally feel disrespected if a girl who had feelings for my guy was allowed to stay with him 😭

I wouldn't even be asking the question! Definitely not over reacting Hun! My best friend lives miles away from me so I go visit him for days at a time but I wouldn't stay at his while he has a girlfriend and we have been best friends for 17 years!!! It's a BIG NO NO!!! Xx

Wow! I can't believe what I have just read! NO GIRL! You are not over reacting! Why is she coming a long way and staying with your boyfriend? Are they long lost friends or what? I mean obviously she isn't a relative but this is not ok! 
Does your boyfriend live with his parents? If so and you feel like you can, speak to them! Tell them you aren't happy! If they have met her before they may have a good judgement on her character!

Erm no. If he knows she has feeling for him she should not be going anywhere near him. You need to make it clear that this is not okay. I don't care how long they have been friends or what ever but that's not cool.

If a girl he's never met told him she has feelings for him he shouldn't even be speaking to her anymore never mind have her staying at his house! I'd be furious if my boyfriend even considered having a female friend stay at his house no matter how long they had been friends never mind a complete stranger! I'd tell him where to go! X

You're definitely not over reacting. You've made the right choice to trust your boyfriend but you have the right to ask her not to stay with him because even tho you trust him NOBODY should be placed in so much fear and worry like you are right now. It's common courtesy !!! 💕

Why is she staying with him? Why can't she stay at a hotel? If she has feelings for him and is coming a long way just to see him that is NOT okay no matter how much you trust him because her intentions could be very wrong. You're not overreacting. I am very okay with my boyfriend hanging out with other girls (been 4 years) but this would be completely unacceptable.
