Centering pregnancy?

Has anyone here done this? My nurse told to to keep it an option. She said it is a more hands on approach to pregnancy. You meet with your doctor alone then there is a class that is 2 hours. No waiting in line or anything. Curious if any of you have any thoughts?

I've heard it's more common at military hospitals? Do you happen to be at one?

I'm considering doing the program! That would be a very small world if we are at the same one! Lol

At my 6week intake appointment I was given a pamphlet on the centering pregnant also. I am not part of a military hospital it is through fransiscan on Tacoma but the schedule won't work for me unfortunately

I like the sounds of it because it's like taking a group like this with you.. Plus look at what most of us have been through to get here. My doctor is pretty much bagging me to, And even said she would sit the meeting up to meet my schedule best.

I've signed up for this at my Dr's office. I go for my next checkup at 14 weeks then will start the Centering visits for the remainder of my pregnancy. I've heard very positive things about this program. Very excited!

They offer that at my military hospital, but I'm being referred to a specialist off post. I think if I didn't have a high risk pregnancy and it was just a normal pregnancy I would consider it.
