So I recently had my first gynecologist appointment and due to some issues+being sexually active the doctor prescribed me birth control. My period came on the 9th and that's when I started taking it,as told by the doctor.

My period usually last 5 days and today is the 6th day.

Is this a common occurrence first month/months on birth control? Or should I bring it up on the next appointment?

I am on a combination pill and I am not from America so I doubt telling you the name of the pill would help.
