Taking Cymbalta while pregnant?

Question

A couple of months ago I started taking 60mg of Cymbalta to treat my depression. I just found out that I’m 4 weeks pregnant and I’m terrified about taking this medication while pregnant. I’m also scared to leave my depression untreated. Should I start to wean myself off of it or should I continue to use it to treat my depression? Only asking to see if anyone has experience with this, I won’t be able to see my doctor  until I’m 8 weeks. Thanks in advance!

I had to call and get into my family doctor to see if he could put me on something safe for pregnant women I recommend calling your family doctor to ses if theres anything else they can give you

I know Zoloft and Prozac are safe for pregnancy. If you can’t get into your OB, try and see your family doctor to get it switched. Most of the time it’s a pros vs cons situation when it comes to medications like these. If momma isn’t healthy- mentally as well as physically- then baby won’t be

I would definitely ask to see or at least see your doctor before 8 weeks. I know Zoloft is safe to take while pregnant but idk about cymbalta. Your dr may be able to prescribe an alternative (like Zoloft) if it’s not ok!
