Do you only get an LH surge before ovulation?

Probably a silly question but do you only get a positive opk before ovulation or before AND during?
I got a stronger than the control line on Saturday (yesterday) and an equal to control line positive today. Not sure what this means!!

You can have multiple surges (i believe) but, you’re really looking for the first one. Once you get your positive, I’ve always been told stop testing.. just baby dance!

I always have 2 surges, one right before AF. It's called multiple peaks! It happens to some women.

I read somewhere u can get a lh surge before your period and also a lh surge before your true positive its so confusing x

Every person and every cycle is different. Some cycles your lh stays high until after the egg is release. Some cycles you dont ovulate until just after the lh starts to lower back down.
The only positive opk you go by is the first one. If you want to know when you ovulate after that, you have to temp.
