Hana will always be produced Hannah, she will have to correct everyone all the time. You'll need to change the spelling if you want people to say it differently.

I'm really shocked that most people would see Hana & say it like Hannah 🤔 I've met Hanas & Anas, & you say those differently than Hannah/Hanna & Anna 🤷🏼 I feel like the spelling obviously promotes that. Maybe I live in a more diverse area than most? Idk. But I like the name Hana a lot!

I know someone named Ana. Pronounced Ah-na  (like yours). Yes some people mispronounced it the first time seeing it, but then she would tell people "it's Ah-na" and then we knew and it never happened again. So I've known her for 20 years and yeah I called her Anna...once.  Miraculously, she survived and is not traumatized by this.

It will be pronounced wrong. People, including family, pronounce and spell my name incorrectly every single day. I hate correcting them so much that I shorten my name to Bre whenever I meet people. It’s bree-ANNE-uh, not bree-aw-nuh. So yeah, if you want her to deal with always pronouncing her name correctly, you should name her Hana.

I think it's a beautiful name! I think the pronunciation is very clear. You'll unfortunately, based on the amount of people on here who don't understand it, have to correct people but that's a them problem; it's not a crazy name by any means. If you like it, go for it! People will always have a negative opinion no matter what name you choose.
