Advice on yeast diaper rash?

My daughter has had a yeast diaper rash for over a month. We have the nystatin prescription cream which clears it right up but the second I stop using it the rash is back in a day. I have tried every preventative cream I can find on the market, change her diaper the second she poos or every two hours during the day, and let the area have some air time every day. I’ve also recently started giving her probiotics. Any other ideas? I just don’t understand why it won’t go away completely 😭

My boy had one a few weeks ago and in between using the nystatin we blow dried his butt with the blow dryer (on cool), and then caked on aquaphor. Like gobs of it. We also used water wipes while he had the rash.

Our pharmacist told us to use warm water and soap to clean the entire area after each poop and use warm water after every pee and then put the nystatin on it.  It worked for us after our guy had a yeast diaper rash for a long time and the nystatin alone wasn’t working. Thy also recommend using the cream for a couple days after the visible signs of the diaper rash are gone.

My daughter had a yeast rash for over a month. We tried aquaphor, butt paste, a store brand diaper rash cream, and nystatin and it just got worse. FINALLY our new doctor prescribed ketoconazole. He said to only put it on twice a day and put the nystatin over it as a barrier, literally cleared it up in 2 days!! Since then I only have to use powder and she hasn't had any other issues with it

Mine had it and my midwife said use Greek yogurt - we used stonyfield organic plain Greek. It was gone in a few days!

We’re the same over here! We tried clotrimazole first (3x), now onto nystatin. We also put aquaphor over the antifungal as a barrier. Clears it up, the minute we stop, it’s back. We also do the same and change him right away, even have naked time 3 x a day. I feel ya.
