Need for short sleeve onesies in winter?

I'm a FTM and was given a ton of hand me down, 0-3 month, short sleeve onesies. Due in late Oct, so it will be cold where I live for that entire size range. Should I pack them away? Or are they useful in some way I don't realize? Thanks for any advice!

I used them because my son never liked sleeping with long pjs. They are also useful underneath sweatsuits. My home was also heated during that time so inside got fairly warm

Yes absolutely most sids deaths happen in winter time because people overdress their babies and turn up the heat.

if your house is warm then short sleeves are very useful

I had a January baby my first time ur not supposed to use blankets in crib so instead id put a onesie underneath her pjs to keep her warm

If it's warm inside then short sleeve is ok, or layer it under or over a long sleeve shirt. I don't think you'll need a bunch, but a few might be helpful.

If they are plain, I used them for layering. Not just for warmth, but for under two piece outfits so their skin didn’t get exposed.
If they are patterned/for an outfit, you can still use them if your house is warm or slip on a little sweater if necessary.

Layers layers layers! If you have plain short sleeves ones you can later them under the long sleeved ones for extra warmth, or under swaddles and pajamas. If you have cute patterned ones you can layer plain long sleeved ones underneath them!

Short sleeve is good for layering, esp if where you live gets very cold. I live in south Fl. So I plan on using short sleeves as regular wear. Due Oct 5th, and its currently 90+ where I live, so I don’t expect it to get colder until January... and even then, not that cold.

I honestly never used short sleeve ones. My baby was born at the end of January. So it was very cold here. I liked the onesies with the built in mittens.
