Too soon to set up the room?

Question

I'm currently 10 weeks 2 days and going to my first appt tomorrow afternoon and I know I am going to be so tempted to get setting things up right away! We are planning to do a gender neutral (mostly) room so it won't matter if we know the gender or not. 
I'm just curious when other moms started setting up their babies room or when they plan to start!

I say go for it! I'm 8 weeks and I'm honestly practically done with our gender-neutral room! My mil came the other day and painted a mural in it.. (The crib is set up now underneath the tree). If it's a boy, it's perfect. If it's a girl, we'll add some girly touches to it like a chandelier and some sparkles 😉

I feel by planning or painting nursery or buying anything jinxes my pregnancy, I don't start buying or planning anything until I have had my gender scan at 16/20 weeks, iam currently 9+2 weeks and haven't brought anything apart from my scan photo frame, won't have my first scan until 12 weeks

We've set ours up! Just the big furniture. No decorations yet until we know the gender. But we got a great deal on furniture, so we went ahead and set ours up! Some of the wall decor is left from the guest room that hasn't been moved out yet.

We are going to wait until after Christmas, only because we need the room for family coming from interstate.

We started scouting/pricing out some things to get an idea of what we like and budgeting. My parents are coming down for thanksgiving so we'll likely start then. I'm also not sure what we'll be getting for hand-me-downs; so that could change things a lot too! So I'll be mostly 2nd tri

I am starting to work on cleaning out the spare storage/bedroom that will become the baby's room. We just put the crib, mattress and changing table/dresser on lay way last night so we can pay on it till December and pick it up then. So I will start fully decorating once we find out gender because it will either be Mickey mouse or Minnie Mouse. We have bought some gender neutral items at consignment sales like burp clothes. I started buying diapers and wipes with each paycheck as I hope to not have to go back to work and want less expenses after baby is born. I am almost 8 weeks. Start whenever you are ready to! Be happy :-)

We have started gutting ours (I'm 10 weeks) it was a guest bedroom with an awful fitted wardrobe so we have ripped that out as will need plastering / new carpet. So at the moment  trying to get it to a good base. I won't actually decorate it for a while but trying to get the dull bits done x

Do what makes you happy! Smart I think that way you can move stuff around without a big belly and exhaustion in the way. Plus it makes you feel even more excited when you see your nursery together.

Whenever you want! We put wood floors and wainscoting in our soon to be nursery at week six. But we're going to wait and see if family and friends can help us out with the furniture :)
