All night he fussed because he was super gassy. Nursed constantly but never significantly, it was more of a comfort thing just to go back to sleep. I still had to pump a few times because he wasn’t emptying me at all. During the day, he’s supposed to have 4 - 70ml bottles of fortified breastmilk. It’s 6 pm and he’s only taken 2 so far. I cannot get him to wake enough to eat 😫

Did anyone have this happen when you first got home? Did it resolve quickly? I’m so stressed that he’s not eating like he should and worrying about him sleeping too long. My breasts are constantly engorged because he’s not even taking his bottles muchless doing any nursing.

I feel like I’m totally failing now that he’s home 😭 he didn’t do this at all at the nicu. He took all his bottles well and nursed like a champ.

Edit to add - I’ve tried every trick I know to keep him awake. Burping him, changing his diaper, tickling his feet and cheek, undressing him, etc
