I know the day of ovulation is just a prediction just as well as this app but I never understood how peak day was the most important can have sex someone explain? I thought ovulation day was the most important? I’m learning something everyday with this app. Even the fact that I am uneducated.... thanks for your education for me the uneducated.

From what I’ve read, the 2-3 days before ovulation day are the most critical. The LH peak/surge is just an indicator that your body is preparing to ovulate within the next 12-48 hours & once you’ve ovulated the egg hangs out anywhere from 12-24 hours. So overall, having sex before or on your peak date increases your odds that much more as there’s no true indicator as to when your egg(s) will be released. Even with tempting, tracking your bbt (basal body temperature) doesn’t show until After you’ve already ovulated.
