Breastfeeding in public setup

Patty

Hi everyone! My baby is 3 weeks old now and so far we have only left the house a few times for very short periods of time because I am unsure logistically how breastfeeding would work when I’m not at home and he eats every 2 hours pretty much all day.

So far, the only position I can get to work for my son is the football/clutch position and I have two spots in the house with pillows propped to give him the right positioning to latch.

I am not against breastfeeding in public but I cannot fathom how I can get him in the right position without my pillows and breastfeeding setups I have at home. I have tried the other positions and he just won’t latch.

I want to get out of the house more but I don’t want to not be able to feed my son if we are out of the house more than 2 hours.

Does anyone have any suggestions to help me be able to feed if I go out? This isn’t about covering up or what people may say- it’s positioning I need help with without the comfort of my breastfeeding setups at home.

Thank you!!
