half absent grandparents

just posting to see if anybody else is in the same position and how you deal with it... to start off my husbands mother is deceased and his father is not present in our lives, therefore theres one set of grandparents that have nothing to do with our child. My parents are divorced and both remarried, my dad and step mom live 45 mins away and my mom and my step dad live right across the street. my dad and his wife dont make special trips to see my daughter, i mainly have to go to them. although they keep my step moms daughter overnight weekly my daughter hardly ever stays. my parents across the street come see my daughter 2/3 times a week but NEVER take her anywhere alone. shes 4 theyve never taken her to do anything, not even something simple like ice cream. she always asks them if she can go to their house when she sees them but 80% of the time she doesn't get to go, shes stayed over maybe 4 times in her life. but when my step daughter was that age they'd keep her overnight over 20 times in 2 years im sure, take her to build a bear, even just to McDonald's play place... I'm so confused and hurt..i wish my daughter had grandparents who enjoyed spending time with her.how do you handle the situation?
