Are y’all drinking caffeine while breastfeeding? I have been and sometimes I feel guilty but I don’t know how moms survive without it?! 😴

I talked to my pediatrician at our first appointment right after our son was born he said it was fine to have a cup or two a day. I have mine in the morning and have one cup. Baby does fine with it. When I was pregnant I did no caffeine lol so I do feel a bit guilty lol.

Loved coffee before pregnancy but even since after birth and the struggles with sleep always felt that I don’t wanna mess with babies sleep. I breastfeed and tried having some coffee for two days (im talking less than 200mg) Babies sleep got messed up, wasn’t worth it for me. But all kids are different might work for you?

I don’t have a coffee habit (just never acquired the taste for it) so I don’t have caffeine daily. But when a I want something like a Diet Coke, you bet I’m going for it. That little bit helps me, and doesn’t hurt the baby.

I enjoy energy drinks but have not drank any since I became pregnant . I still don't drink them, just water water water.

Yes a cup a day. It’s safe in pregnancy and gets even more filtered via the milk production process so, I definitely do without any guilt.
