Wake sleeping baby?

So In the middle of the night my LO always starts grunting in his sleep when it’s close to feeding time. He’s not awake just starts grunting a lot and making noises. So do I wake him up to feed him or just let him wake up fully on his own?

I agree - if he is showing any hunger signs, I wake to feed. Crying is the latest hunger sign babies give.

Always feed before crying if you can, especially at night. The less your baby wakes up for feeds the easier to get them back to sleep and the closer you are to longer sleep stretches.

My 6 week old still does this. If she starts to root around or show hunger signs, I’ll get her out and nurse her. She never fully wakes up but does a little dream feed. I can’t sleep when she’s grunting!

Agreed with everyone else I have the same thing. I will wake up bc my daughter is making noises but not fully awake. We make her a bottle and then change her which wakes her up then and by the time she’s back in my arms the bottle is in her mouth so she eats back to sleep. Night is by far the easiest time for us.

Question to your question, sorry. Does anyone know when you stop waking your baby up every 3 to 4 hours to feed?

I go ahead and feed. She never fully wakes up so when she is done it’s way easier to put her back in her bed.
