Parents with human babies and fur babies
I have a 5 month old and 2 dogs. When I put the baby on the floor whether it’s in his walker, sit me up seat, or on a blanket on the floor to play, my dogs want to constantly lick him and it’s always in his face or on his head. They love the baby to death. Which I’m glad, but I don’t want them licking him anywhere on his head or face, even though the baby doesn’t mind. He literally cracks up laughing at the dogs. He thinks they’re hilarious. I’m a SAHM so they’re out of their kennels when I’m home. I can’t keep them kenneled all day, it’s just not fair and I don’t have a fenced in yard to just let them out, plus it’s way too hot here. Getting rid of them is not an option because they are our fur babies and my 10 year old has autism and would never talk to me again. I hate to keep telling them no when they do it because I don’t want them to eventually resent me or the baby. How can I keep them from licking the baby constantly when he’s down?
