Teething Fever?

Question

How long did your Lo’s Fever last with teething? He’s been super grumpy this week and last night his temp was 100F. Gave him Motrin and he slept all night. This morning he is burning up with a fever of 101.1. Gave Tylenol. Lunch time comes, 4 hours later, temp is 101.3. 
He has zero symptoms of sickness, so is this normal for teething. He has 2 teeth that have broke through the gums, and I believe one more on top trying.

We took our baby in when he had a temp and she said a fever is normal sometimes with teething but only to be concerned if it’s above 101. Could he have an ear infection maybe? Sometimes they don’t show signs. 
I would take him in if it persists, ours never reached 101 so we just treated with Tylenol for a few days.

He went all day Friday with a temp and all day Saturday. Never went down even with Tylenol. Never had any symptoms, I even felt lymph nodes and checked his ears. By Sunday morning he was perfectly normal and hasn’t had a temp. 
No teeth pooped through 🤷🏼‍♀️

Our pediatrician said that teething causes a fever is a myth and that in fact it is a virus because they tend to put more things in their mouth when teething so more likely to pick up a virus. Not sure what I believe around that but we treat with Morton, works better for teething pain!

My son had 101.6 when he was teething once and Tylenol brought it down to like 99

My baby feels warm when she’s cutting the tooth. I haven’t taken her temp for it. But she’s usually warm for a couple days.

My son had a cold so he only had low fevers towards the end (day 7-10) on day 9 I called to make sure he was still okay if I needed to take him in. they told me the only time I would want to make a sick appointment is if his fever is 101 or higher for more than 2 days. They said cool baths during the day and then another before bed to keep temp down. Might want to call your ped before they close to give you a piece of mind instead of going though the entire night worried.

I think the actual fever only last 3-4 days. The grumpiness and clinginess lasted until the tooth was fully broke through
