Help please! What would you do?
Hi- I’m not trying to start a debate so please don’t either but I need advice. We are in the process of touring daycare centers- and I found one I love. It’s brand new, clean, separate class rooms and playgrounds for infants, toddlers, etc. beautiful facilities, I really love it.
But when asked about vaccinations, they have a religious exemption and thus don’t require it for everyone. I asked if this particular facility has ever had an outbreak and was told no, but google told me a facility in a different state had two pertussis outbreaks (which the director lied and told me no facility has ever had an outbreak). As someone who does plan to vaccinate, this concerns me. I know all babies in an infant room are not yet vaccinated due to their age, so this may be a risk at every facility, not just here.
Would you still send your child? I’m really torn because I do love the center. I’m just concerned about an outbreak.
