Woke up bleeding

I woke up bleeding this morning and rushed myself to L&D. I’m 1cm dilated and 70% effaced. They gave me medication to slow my contractions and I got the first round of steroids. Let me tell you, that shot is NO JOKE. I’ll be here at least over night, and I’ll get my second shot tomorrow morning. I don’t feel like I’m in labor, my contractions just feel like Braxton Hicks, but I want to know why im bleeding. They tried to do the swab to check for amniotic fluid but there was too much blood.
