At this point I know I might just be petty, hormonal or maybe I’m just a Biiii...

I’ve ranted a few times now...

So with my due date 4 weeks away I know I’m more and more just moody and over it...

BUT....

So my son is going to be a Jr, I didn’t argue it and never really thought of any “better” names so it is what it is...

Nicholas

My mother in law one day talking I mentioned to her Nick names I might like...

His dad started with PJ because of last name and Jr...

I mentioned I might like Nicho early early on.. she took it and ran with it and Nicho Nicho me to death until I just kinda hate it.

I mentioned verbally in her presence nicely that honestly it had been worn out (by her) and I was just going to wait and see his face and whatever came out came out.. she said “she understood and could see that”

Fast forward...to this week...

A few weeks ago I asked for recommendations on FB if anyone knew someone who made customer baby quilts.. she of course says nothing mentions nothing..

She texts my fiancé a picture of a quilt and says “I’m thinking of getting the baby a monogram quilt made, with HIS NAME; do you think she will get mad if I put Nicho on it”

He screen shots it to me and my response was just “I’d prefer his actual name “Nicholas”..

Am I just being petty by being completely over her at this point... and how to me that’s such a contradiction. You want to put his name on it and you think Nicho is acceptable..

Although I’ve stated and not found of the name now and considering that’s not his name...

I feel at every turn she’s just trolled me..

Back ground she’s the most selfish lady I’ve met not sure if it’s clinical or just her or whatever the case is...

She was not happy I got pregnant in the beginning it seemed she was trying at every turn to make him consider breaking up even while being pregnant, I was put on bed rest she kept saying I “needed to work” our gender reveal she had to give a speech making at least 5 min about her not to mentioned she cried when she saw it was a boy not out of joy because she spent the first 12 weeks saying SHE and scolding anyone that said he or him...even when I asked her to stop and wait to see what gender was...

Than I came up with possible nick names she ran with Nicho because she doesn’t like PJ which cool I get not everyone will call him whatever we pick but she asked me what we were going to call him... 🤷🏽‍♀️

She complains to my fiancé that she wants us to be friends or close or whatever... but she has constantly gone out of her way it seems to me to make it otherwise.

Before my pregnancy we were ok not at odds I mean I knew she was crazy and challenging but it only got worse..

And the quilt thing has kind of just set me over the edge. Not to mention they planned a last min vacation and she keeps telling me “ok don’t have that baby while we’re gone” my biggest pet peeve is people repeating the same thing to me over and over again... and that phrase is kind of like someone telling a cashier “oh there’s no price must be free” har har har 😑 not funny...

Ive never just said I don’t like her but my fiancé knows.. I mean there’s a long list of people that don’t deal with her including her oldest son and sister... I’m starting to see why more and more...

I just wanted to vent to a group that may understand how I feel... ok mic drop

And let me add to how she keeps acting like I’m her surrogate or something, and referencing how she just wants to make sure she gets “her time with the baby” whooooo thinks a newborn is going to with their grandma off the bat!? I already told her just to cover the first 6months she’s not getting him and NO one is!

She’s so concerned my mom is going to see him more than her and honestly yes she’s right, because she’s MY mom and because I spend a lot of time with her! Again I wasn’t opposed to involving her until she burned all the bridges to that! 🙄😑😒
