do they do a abdominal or vaginak ultrasound @ 8 weeks 3 days?

I go Tuesday for my first ultrasound, by then I’ll be 8 weeks 3 days.. which type of ultrasound will they do?? And will the heartbeat show up this early?

My doctor does vaginal ultrasounds at 8 weeks and yes I could see and hear the heartbeat at that point!!

Depends on the doctor or tech. (And how full your bladder is). They usually start with abdominal and then if they cant get a good enough look they will have you go pee and switch to vaginal.

Mine was abdominal at 8 weeks with my first child, now pregnant with our second and just found out so I won’t be able to go for another month to my doctor but I would think it’d be abdominal again.
