My fiancé and I have seen and felt the affects of alcohol from a very young age. We don’t believe that you need to drink to have fun. My mother thinks that if we want our guests to have a good time we should have some type of alcohol there. I want to know what y’all think..

It’s your wedding, your choice. If you both don’t want drinking there that’s your choice.

You can’t really limit each person to a certain number of drinks at an open bar. You could have an open bar for a like an hour or just during dinner but I don’t think it’s possible for people to only have 1 drink at an open bar

Your wedding YOUR CHOICE. If they need booze to enjoy your wedding I think they don’t need to come. It’s about you and your husband. Not getting drunk.

If you don’t want a bar, don’t have one. If people choose not to show up to such a major event in your life bc you don’t, that is their loss and it shows how much they really care

As someone who loves a drink, I really wouldn’t care if you chose to not have alcohol. It’s YOUR special day, you make the rules. Those who care for you won’t mind at all and will be able to have a great time regardless.

I never did alcohol at my wedding because my husband and I are against alcohol. We don’t consume it and neither would our guests. 
It’s YOUR wedding, YOUR rules. If they don’t like it they don’t have to come.

This is your wedding, not your mother's. I have plenty of fun with AND without alcohol. If you don't like alcohol or if you don't want to be around it, then don't. I will have it at my wedding but that's because I like it, not because my mother wants there to be.

You’ll save a bunch of money not to have one. It just depends what kind of wedding you want. My husband and I both enjoy a party and wanted everyone to have a great time dancing and drinking so we had a n open bar. We were lucky though and got the alcohol and bartender for super cheap!
