The hardest but the best decision I’ve ever made

Mallory

On July 16th I left for Air Force basic training I graduated September 13 and it truly was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. Yes basic itself was hard obviously but the hardest part was leaving my baby, he is 14 months old he turned 1 the week before I left. Before I left I knew it was gonna be tough but I had no idea just how hard it would be, the mom guilt the fear of not knowing if they are okay, missing all the milestones and not being able to hold him every night. But I finally made it to the end and when I graduated I was so proud of myself simply because I did it for my baby and I actually made it. It was so worth it because now I have financial stability and more direction. I say all of this because I know there are a lot of moms who want to join the military but are scared and conflicted too because of their babies but it’s so worth it and yes it’s hard it’s really hard but trust me it will be one of the strongest things you’ve done. If anyone wants to join and has questions I’d be happy to help!!
