Whooping cough vaccine?

I’m 28 weeks (due Dec 16th) and this week I take my glucose test and get my whooping cough vaccine! 
I’ve heard from a few friends that their doctor has said nothing about them getting the vaccine and so they aren’t. 
Curious on if other people have also been recommended to get it!

I got it last week as well as my flu shot. Baby will be here in about a month and I’m not taking chances with cold and flu season. My husband just got both shots today. My mom and sister who will be staying with me for about a week once baby girl arrives also got both. My in laws will be getting them both as well (although my father in law protested for some reason 😤). My mother in law will also be staying a week at some point so that’s why I asked them both to get them. I told them no shots then no visitation or staying over 🤷🏼‍♀️ May be harsh for some people but I don’t care...My good friend did not get the shot when she was pregnant, and her four month old was just hospitalized with whooping cough. It was so traumatic for her and I couldn’t imagine experiencing that, so I’m being cautious. Everyone else who comes to visit, I’m just asking to sanitize and wash hands as much as possible, and no kissing.

Yes. My Dr has been delivering for 30+ years and has kids of his own and he highly recommended it. Some people disagree with vaccines as a whole but the risks of whooping cough in babies is way more risky than anything from the shot.

I got mine on Thursday at 30 and a half weeks. My doctor recommended it.

I had mine at 34 wks and had some weird side effects for a day.

I was recommended to get it my last 2 pregnancies,  so i did. I have a different Dr this pregnancy and he recommended it as well, so I'll be getting it this pregnancy too. I have 4 kids, 2 are in high school and 1 goes to speech therapy, so they're around other kids a lot. I want to give this baby as much protection against whooping cough as I can until he's old enough to get the vaccine himself.

I had it my husband had it after doctor recommended it, also recommended family & friends that are going to be around baby need to have the vaccine too, we have asked everyone to have it as well. It was recommended to us & I’m not putting my baby at risk

I had mine at 28 weeks after the glucose test. The baby gets the Immunity from Whooping cough which is super important.

Yes. Get it, your baby will be born right in prime season...and much better to be safe..i would also recommend  anyone who is often in contact with baby to get a booster if needed

Jab next (baby due dec) - My first born was a summer baby and I still got both vaccines!
