Hello! I’m a ftm to a little 1 month old and just needed some advice! After pumping for about 15 minutes one breast produces quite a bit more milk than the other and I was wondering if there was a way to build up the supply in the other breast? Not only is it annoying while feeding her but it’s also making the one boob visibly bigger when they’re both “full” Thanks!

When I was pumping my lactation nurse said to pump more offer or to feed more often on the side that isn’t producing a lot, then once it catches up pump same time on both... hope that helps :)

It's normal! Just nurse the lazy side first or pump from that side as often as possible. My lazy side still only produces half as much as my good side at 15 months pp

That isn’t a big difference. I pumped 5-7 ounces more from my left than right and not after a feeding. The lactation specialist said it’s normal

I believe it’s common for one side to be the over producer. I’m not sure if there’s a way to fix it but if they are becoming uneven, try nursing on the side you finished with in the last nursing session. After about 6-8 weeks your supply regulates and you may not look as uneven.
