Co-sleeper or bassinet?

I’m torn between investing in either a good co-sleeper or bassinet!  What brands are worth the money?
I’ve heard amazing things on the DocATot and the Halo bassinet.  Are they worth the money?  What else do you suggest?

I would get an actual bassinet I've heard doc a tot is a SIDS risk. I have a big wooden bassinet with canopy etc in our room. As long as baby is sleeping in room a bassinet or bedside crib is good.

We do a pack and play in our room the first 6 months. Safe sleep surface and portable for when we travel and visit family. We used it a ton with my first. A dock a tot isn’t safe and not worth the money or risk.

My mom got me this! It’s sturdy with mesh sides so it’s safer for SIDS but still can go in the bed with you 😊

I skipped both and got a pack n play. Both are so not worth the price to me. I used a básic bassinet at my moms house (I went for the first week out of hospital) but at home we used the PNP. Still using it almost 3 years later. And using one again for next baby.

I got a co-sleeper that attaches to our bed. When baby gets bigger we’ll just have it in a pack n play until it’s time for a toddler bed. 
With our first two we got fancy convertible cribs but by the time they were big enough for their toddler beds they already had their own ideas of what they wanted. (Like a cat shaped bed for example)

I’ve been finding really good baby items (including bassinets and co-sleepers) on Facebook marketplace. Most items are gently used for a fraction of the price. I’m sure you and your family will figure out what works best for sleeping for all of you!

I have a cosleeper that attaches to the side of my bed. That way I’m never in her space and she isn’t in mine. I can glance over whenever and won’t have to get up to check on her, but I also don’t have to worry about crushing her or having my blanket over her head etc.
