My newborns bellybutton sticking out...

So from I'm reading online it's normal for a newborns bellybutton to stick out i guess it's an umbilical hernia.. but I'm reading online there's a band that you can place on the baby's bellybutton I asked my baby's pediatrician and she said that that band really doesn't make a difference.. I'm a FTM and I'm trying to help my baby any moms had this happen to their baby and is ok now without putting a band on the bellybutton? Or if you did place an umbilical hernia belt & it worked for your baby which one was it?

It's not a hernia it's just sticking out I just want to prevent it I guess...
