Apple tree

So I have an apple tree in my yard and we are supposed to get snow this weekend so I need to pick them ASAP! I have a few questions tho. Since there are so many, how do I keep them from going bad quickly? Also half of them have these wires brown marks on them that can easily be scraped off, just not sure if those apples would still be okay to eat or not.

Also any ideas on what to make with all these apples? I just hate to see them all go to waste

Cold storage or a root cellar will keep them for awhile. There are a ton of recipes. Applesauce, butter, Israeli apple cake, pancakes, pies... I'm sure you can find more online.

Get a juicer , and process them. You'll have juice all winter. I have 3 apple trees and do over 400lbs of apples a year. Lots of work but worth it.

Do you know anyone in your area with a cider press? You might be able to negotiate a trade that of you give them your surplus apples, they'll turn some of it into cider for you.

Put the apples in the fridge and they'll keep longer. You could make applesauce, apple pies or apple butter. I like apples with cinnamon in my oatmeal. It's basically chunky applesauce. Apples in smoothies is good too.
