Kids separate from Dating...

So I’m recently single. I want to start casually dating but I don’t want to tell men that I have kids. I’m not looking for anyone to play step daddy, especially because I’m real protective of my kids. I’m only looking for someone to satisfy me. If things get serious, I would obviously bring up my kids but am I wrong for this?
