Maternity belt?

Has anyone used or are using a maternity support brace/belt? I’m thinking about ordering one online but would like to ask my doctor first and hear other people’s opinions/experiences using them.

I've been strongly advised against using them. Beem told by a few sources that short uses is okay, but not recommended into 3rd tri (when you'll want to use them most). It prevents the baby from moving down into your pelvis and apparently causes increased rate if c sections. My midwife told.me to stop.wearing spanx so frequently for this exact reason (stating again 3rd trimester is when it's really important not to). Luckily summer dress season (when I wear spanx) is drawing to an end now that fall is here. This isnt a well known thing, but has been reported more and more with the newfound popularity with these support belts. So just seek additional advice and use for short periods.

I tried one this morning and I don’t think the baby liked it too much. About 20 mins in I got severe muscle spasms in my back. I nearly cried and called the doctor. I took it off and that will probably be the last time I use it.

I use one with my daughter she stayed high in my ribs not this baby (a boy) he stays head down already and lower that average like the ultrasound tech was in shock had never seen a baby that low head down at 18 weeks now 21 and if anything I’ll be standing or walking more than 30 minutes without sitting I need my belt but on what someone else said about the risk of c section I don’t see that to be true maybe ask your doctor odontological use past like 34-35 weeks I don’t have to worry about that I have to have a repeat c section but I highly recommend a belly band!!!

My doctor recommended one. I got one I only wear when running and helps not feel like I have to pee all the time. Gabriella is the brand a friend recommended and happy so far. I can’t comment on wearing all the time.
