Rhogam Shots!!!!

Has anyone else been through these? It makes me nervous hearing all of the "your body may reject your baby" nonsense.... and I know someone who just lost a baby at birth because of this type of rejection.

Dr. Says it's a preventative shot and that I shouldnt have antibodies yet.. but... I'm still a nervous wreak. This potentially means my first child could be my last.

EDIT- We KNOW I am - and he is +. So it is def. Get the shot or have the antibodies and risk everything. I was more concerned with knowing about those who have been in the same situations if the shot worked, or if you still ended up with antibodies... I'm just nervous I will only get one go around and we want more than one kid. I am far enough along now that hopefully even if I had antibodies or had started to make them this current baby would be "okay" just high risk... unless it went unmanaged. It's good to see that some of you have had multiple children being RH incompatible.

Edit 2- I got the shot straight into my butt and it BURNT. Like straight up lit my ass cheek on FIRE.

Edit 3- thanks for the support! It sounds like I should be fine as long as I maintain my rhogam shots as needed. It was just scary to hear that since my SO is DEF. + and I am DEF. - (We have two of the rarest blood types being O+ and A- that the blood bank literally begs us to come donate monthly 🤣) that it would be harder to conceive if I had antibodies, and there would ALWAYS be a 50% chance I get antibodies next pregnancy and be high risk and potentially lose pregnancies! Maybe my OB hyped me up 🤷‍♀️
