Taking the pill continuously

So I've been on birth control pills for over two years now. I was skeptical at first because I wasn't sexually active but my doctor and mom put me on them because I was getting so sick every month from my period. The doctor suggested that I take them continuously to completely stop my period, thus preventing the whole getting sick thing. It's been great. There's only been one time that I've had a period when I shouldn't have, but that was shortly after starting them. My concern now is that my boyfriend and I have stopped using condoms, and I'm slightly afraid of getting pregnant. I don't ovulate at all, and I haven't in like two years so it shouldn't be a problem, but I'm kinda worried. Opinions?
