I’m 38w2d. My breasts have been super sore all day, so I decided to massage them and immediately started leaking colostrum. In an attempt to encourage labor, I decided to try to hand express some and use a Hakkaa as well. The thing is, this is my 3rd. With my first two, I leaked like crazy and then my milk never came in. My babies were never able to get colostrum or milk, my breasts just didn’t cooperate no matter what I did to boost my supply. I didn’t produce a drop once they were born. So, I’m not just collecting to encourage labor, but so baby might have a chance to have some colostrum/milk even if I dry up like I did my first two. I didn’t expect to get much, so I had my syringes ready, but I was able to express almost 2oz! I’m so excited, a little is better than none at all!
